Why would I hire a Virtual Assistant?

We get it, in the busy-ness of running a business, sometimes important emails get missed, appointments get double booked and leads are followed up with too late. Many small businesses are so (understandably) focused on delivery that the details get overlooked. Well, us at Mutha, we're detail people.

You may already know that outsourcing could take a weight off your mind, but perhaps there are some other scenarios you haven't yet considered...

  • Time - Free your time so you can spend it on the things that really matter. A recent study by Forbes said the following:

“Take a minute to think about the most valuable things in life. If you are like most people, your list includes things such as family, friends, fitness and finances (money). Now, how would you rank these things on your list? It might surprise you to discover that many of those who are considered highly successful all rank the same thing at number one: time.

  • Productivity - Get fast help with your to-do list. Virtual assistants work differently. Without the distractions of an office environment, they’re able to focus and dedicate their time to getting tasks done. Because they’re self-employed, their number one goal is client satisfaction.

  • Trust - A VA acts like an employee that you know and trust, but at a fraction of the cost.

  • Reduced costs - Virtual assistants work as independent contractors so handle their own expenses, tax and insurance so you don't have to think about Tax, NI, Sick pay, Holiday pay etc. Not to mention salary, employment contracts and recruitment fees.

  • Only pay for the time you need - You can hire a VA to perform a specific job, pay for their time, and that’s it.

  • Flexibility - Aside from not being tied to a 9-5 schedule, a major benefit of working with a virtual assistant is the ability to dial up/down the services required on a month by month, or project by project basis.

  • Access to different skill sets - Working with one or a team of virtual assistants gives you access to a whole range of different skills, Recruiting one person in your office gives you access to only their skills, hiring a virtual assistant through Mutha gives you access to our whole team. So if a task you need doing is outside your VA’s skill set, it can still be done, while you only have to deal with one person, ahhh, simplicity!

  • Delegation - Whilst it's clear that delegating well is important to success, lots of us struggle to do it. For most people, delegating effectively is about trust and building the right processes. Working with a VA allows the opportunity to delegate “lower risk” tasks while testing out processes and building trust in your assistant.
